Our heritage
The first Megadoor vertical lifting fabric door was developed in 1973 as a kiln door for the forestry industry, where extra-large doors with good insulation were especially needed. Besides offering doors that fulfill the need for size, insulations and rapid opening, in 1977 Megadoor were also able to deliver large doors with different types of door panels. The company quickly expanded into other segments with exceptional access needs, such as aviation, shipyard, mining and waste and recycling.
In 2012 Cardo, the parent company of both Megadoor and Crawford was acquired by ASSA ABLOY Group.
