China Southern's cargo facilities project--domestic and international cargo terminals - is the first completed base supporting project of Daxing Airport. On June 29, China Southern’s maintenance service project at the large airport was officially completed. Asia's largest hangar, as the largest hangar in Asia and Asia's largest operational control center and Asia's largest aviation food production base is expected to be put into use at the same time as Beijing Daxing Airport at the end of September.
The No. 1 hangar of China Southern Airlines Daxing Airport Base can accommodate two Airbus A380s, three Boeing B777s and three narrow-body aircrafts. The interior of the hangar is as large as 5 football field. The hangar can accommodate up to 12 working lines working together. The maintenance cable is flexible enough to reach any part of the aircraft for maintenance. Which is rare in domestic hangars. It is reported that China Southern Airlines is the main base airline of Daxing Airport and will assume 40% of air passenger traffic.
